GENERAL INFORMATION

  • HOURS OF OPERATION +

    Despite the advertisement and center signs posted outside the building, Tiny Tots Day Care Services operates Monday through Friday between 5:45 AM and 11:55 PM, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday and from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Sunday save the following national and government holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King’s Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday Following Thanksgiving, Christmas Day. Tiny Tots will notify you in advance of our early release, Holiday hours and closed days. There are always signs posted on the doors for you to see and memos sent out with your children. Furthermore, your child’s teacher will verbally tell parents/guardians when these changes occur and notifications will go out via Brightwheel©.

  • STUDENT VACATION & ABSENT FROM CLASS POLICY +

    Parents and/or guardians must notify the Tiny Tots staff of vacation dates at least two (2) weeks in advance with the exception of ‘extended holidays’. An extended holiday is considered to be more than five (5) consecutive weekdays. Half payment is required for extended holidays to preserve the child’s place at Tiny Tots.

    If your child will be absent or needs to attend classes at our center at an unscheduled time, parents and/or guardians must notify the Program Administrator of the change as soon as possible or no later than 8:00 AM on the affected day.

  • SIGN-IN & SIGN-OUT POLICY +

    It is mandatory that you sign your child in/out of the program each day using the Tiny Tots Attendance Sheet. Our staff assumes responsibility for your child once they are signed into the program and walked to the child’s teachers. Parents must bring children all the way into their classrooms and acknowledge a staff member upon arrival and pickup.

TUITION/FEES AND PAYMENT POLICIES

  • REGISTRATION FEE +

    An annual, non-refundable registration fee of $40.00 is charged for each child enrolled. A child is not considered enrolled until the registration fee and all required paperwork has been received. All checks are to be made payable to Tiny Tots Day Care Services and all payments should be given to the administrator.

    Full time (weekly basis) fee for families paying weekly rate is due on Monday of the week for which childcare is being provided. Weekly fee for children aged: 6 weeks - 18 months $328.04, 18 months to 3 years is $230.01, 3 years to 5 years is $206.50, 6 years to 12 years is $173.46.

  • PICKING UP CHILD LATE +

    Picking up your children after your scheduled work time will result in a late fee. Even if you call the center and say that you are going to be late picking up your children, there will be a late fee. Late fees are $5.00 per child, per minute for the first five minutes and a $1.00 per minute per child their after.

TEACHERS INFORMATION

  • PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS AND ORIENTATION +

    You are required to have proof of a high school diploma or equivalent prior to the date of hire. You will also be required to have a criminal background records check done within five days of hire. Cost of the records check will be your responsibility, to be taken out of first paycheck, the cost is $75.00. The director will inform you of any other necessary requirements or paperwork necessary for your staff file.

    You will receive an orientation to the center’s policies and procedures, staff and children’s handbooks, responsibilities of employee’s position, names and ages of children, names of parents as well as introduction of other staff members. You will also be given a tour of the facility as well as information on emergency evacuation procedures and fire extinguisher use. The orientation will take place upon hire or shortly thereafter.

  • TEACHER DRESS CODE +

    You are an early childhood professional and help portray the image of the center. Your overall appearance must be professional and appropriate for your job duties. Please adhere to the following dress code. Includes but not limited to:

    • Shorts: No short shorts: must be five (5) inches or less from the knee.
    • Skirts: No mini skirts: all skirts must be below the knee or longer.
    • Shirts/Blouses: Must cover all breast area, NO cleavage showing, or bulging out of shirt! All back area must be covered - absolutely no see through tops. Sleeveless is OK.
    • Shoes: Tennis shoes or walking shoes are preferred. Shoes must be worn at all times.
    • Body Piercing: Body piercing are ok, if kept to a minimum and are in good taste.
    • Tattoos: Cover if they are not appropriate!
    • Jewelry: Infant/toddler room - no loose jewelry, hoop earrings, long necklaces, bracelets, etc.
  • CELL PHONE USE +

    Cell phone use during work hours is strictly prohibited. All Tiny Tots’ teachers must sign our required documentation. By signing this agreement I understand I will be terminated if caught using a cell phone regardless if you are checking time, checking missed calls, texts or just checking. Please leave phone in car and if someone needs to reach you in an emergency then they can call the center. I understand there are no exceptions!

PARENT & GUARDIAN INFORMATION

  • PARENT & GUARDIAN ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE +

    You are required to walk your children into their classrooms. Please swipe your children in and assist them with putting away their belongings. Tear off the Swipe receipt and take it to your child’s teacher. Your child will not be signed in until they (the teacher) have received it. Children will not be able to stay if they don’t have the day to day items essential to their well-being. Walking the children to their classroom will eliminate the loss, unaccounted items and confusions on who came in with what. If you bring in a child without the items they need, you will be turned away until you have gotten the necessary items. Per the Ohio Department of Job and Family services, each child is required to have two full changes of clothing, a blanket, diapers, wipes and formula.

  • STUDENT NUTRITION INFORMATION +

    If your child has any medical conditions it is imperative that we are notified. Several foods are processed in plants that make the items in which your child may be allergic. There is a form for a modified diet and allergies located in your child’s enrollment form. Please see your child teacher if you need to update throughout the year. We can update these forms now to eliminate the issue today.

  • YOUR CHILD & NAP TIME +

    Your child is required to have a blanket for nap. Parent(s) it is your place to insure that your child has one at the beginning of every week. Blankets are to be taken home at the end of the week, to be cleaned and sanitized. We are not accepting pillows or stuff animals, sorry. Please make sure that your child’s blanket is cot size thank you.

HEALTH & SAFETY PROCEDURES FOR CHILDREN & STAFF

  • INDOOR SAFETY +

    Teachers will not group together. Each teacher will supervise and interact with the children. At lunch time teacher will sit facing the entrance so you can see who is entering or exiting the center. At all times you must be able to look up and see the children regardless of what you are doing or where you are sitting. Furniture should be arranged so you can see each child.

  • OUTDOOR SAFETY +

    Before going outside one staff member should check the playground for any hazards. Each child will need to get a drink of water and go to the bathroom before going outside. If a child needs to come back into the building, do not leave the child unattended. A teacher must accompany the child. The teacher should not just stand at the door. On playground teacher will interact and play with the children at all times and should not group together. Each child should be able to get a drink of water before going home.

  • HEAVY LIFTING +

    A teacher must be able to lift 30 lbs. whether it is child, moving furniture, equipment, carrying supplies, etc. If something needs to be moved or carried that weighs more than 30 lbs. you will need to get someone to help you. Teacher should pick up children by their upper body using both hands. Children are never to be picked up by their arms or hands.
